Forum and Server Rules
« on: August 31, 2008, 09:35:34 PM »
This forum and server are considered a family-friendly environment. I expect everyone to treat all others with respect. That being said, here are the rules that pertain to the forum and the server while in game.

First and foremost: No offensive language either in the forums or on the server. An occasional slip is expected from time to time, but keep it clean. Everyone, (even the kids, especially adults), know what is offensive or not.

No cheating. This included wall-hacks, aim-bots, or any other tool that gives an unfair advantage in game. I have a very low tolerance for this. If I catch you or discover evidence that you are using these types of tools, it most likely will result in an immediate ban.

Breaking these rules will result in warnings on the forums and possibly a ban from the server.

The moderators and I take each infraction on a case by case basis and will determine the punishment accordingly. If you feel you have been dealt with unfairly, you may send us a private message asking to discuss the matter. However, remember this is a private-run server run out of our homes. This is not a democracy and our word is final.

Additionally, if you have a problem with someone, please send a private message to a moderator or me here on the forums.

PLAYER BANS

If a player were banned from one of our servers, that player normally would be banned from all of our servers and forums. That player also would be removed from all stats associated with our servers.

If a banned player were found to be using another account to play or post, that account, too, would be immediately and permanently banned from our servers and forums, even if that used account belonged to a regular player. A banned player using another account to participate in our group, or a banned player who bullies other players into harassing admins would be additional evidence that person was unworthy of our attention and bandwidth, and further justifies the initial banning.

If admins decide to ban a player, it is unwise to harass the admins about their decision, as this will likely have the opposite effect to which the harasser is seeking, and may produce unexpected consequences.

ADMINS

Admins are server gods. With a cross word or malevolent action against one, you may be spanked, slapped, burst into flames, struck down by lightening, or banished from our view. Actions can be performed to get someone's attention, serve as a warning, or dole out punishment.

Because not everyone can handle this awesome power, we are very cautious about who becomes an admin. The person must show maturity, must have a long record of in-game courtesy and restraint, and must never share their Steam account with anyone. We must be able to trust our admins not to abuse their powers, and always use those powers for good, not evil ;-).

Our admins stick together. If you are questioning one admin, you are questioning all of them. We are a team in the truest, best sense, and we are friends. If you are a regular player and have feedback to help improve our admin team, you may contact the Senior Admins: Basher, Chicky, and Ryandor. If, however, you are a relative newbie at the server and you want to tattle on someone. . . just forget it. You can appeal to the admin himself or herself to explain your viewpoint; otherwise, perhaps you should just move along.
